Overview

Multiple witnesses reported a large, upright figure observed primarily at night. Descriptions are inconsistent in detail but show strong agreement on silhouette and behavior.

The phenomenon was frequently described as watching rather than pursuing.

Reports increased sharply in the weeks preceding the Silver Bridge collapse and ceased immediately following the event.

A statistically significant clustering of reports occurred in the 72 hours prior to the Silver Bridge failure on 12/15/1967.
